Norfolk Invitational Relays Set for April 8

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State University is now accepting entries for the annual Norfolk Invitational High School Relays, which will be held on Saturday, Apr. 8 beginning at 9 a.m. at William "Dick" Price Stadium. The one-day event switches to a high school-only format this year.

Last year, 22 high schools from five different states and the Bahamas participated in the event at Dick Price Stadium, which will also serve as the host for the 2006 National Track & Field AAU Junior Olympics.

The entry fee is $100 per team (boys or girls), and all entries must be submitted by Friday, March 31. Entry forms can be downloaded from the Norfolk State University athletics web site at www.nsu.edu/athletics and returned by fax to (757) 823-8170.

Admission to the meet is $5 for adults, $2 for youth ages 7-17 and children 6 and under will be admitted free. NSU staff, faculty and students with ID will also be admitted free.
