Within 3 hours of the midnight entry deadline on Monday, an accepted list of entries as well as current heat sheets are now available online for the fourth annual MileStat.com Elite Track Classic. Keep in mind with the heat sheets that we will be redrawing heats on meet day after athletes (or coaches on their behalf) check-in or scratch from their running events approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. We encourage coaches to do this on their athletes behalf as soon as they arrive at the meet on both Friday and Saturday.
There will be a table nearing the clerking tent which check marks need to be placed next to athletes who are present to compete and lines through an athlete's name or relay indicates an athlete has been scratched. No mark indicates a no show and the athlete and relay will be scratched out of the event. The developmental 1600s on Friday and morning 3200s on Saturday will not be reseeded as we understand teams and athletes cannot get there early enough to check-in over an hour ahead of time for the first running events of both days. The check-in and scratches table applies only to Friday running events from the developmental 200 onto the last running event of the day and to the Saturday running events from the 100 meter hurdles onto the last running event of the day. Athletes and relays report back to the clerks to receive their section and lane/hip # assignment approximately 30 minutes before their race.
So to summarize that check-in is a two-step process for running events, check-in sheets table as soon as you arrive at the meet to declare your intent to compete in an event (w/ check mark) or scratch out of an event (w/ line through). Sheets for individual events get pulled roughly hour before event is to start as we then reseed the event. Approximately 30 minutes before your event, athletes need to return to clerk for their new section and lane/hip # assignment. Understood?
