CROZET, VA -- After improving upon her state meet record in the pole vault at last weekend\'s Gus Lacy Track Classic with a 12\'9\" clearance, only four days later Western Abemarle senior Ashley Early was high flying again as she successfully cleared a height of 12\'10\" in a home quad meet against Orange County, Louisa County, and Covenant in Crozet. It was debatable whether to call her 12\'9\" height at Gus Lacy an outdoor state record since the competition was held indoors due to inclement weather, but her performance this Wednesday leaves no room for dispute. The mark also qualifies her for USATF Junior Nationals.
