Meet director Brandon Miles is proud to announce the commitment of 300 and 400 meter national record holder Francena McCorory and her Bethel team to the first annual MileStat.com Elite Track Gala to be held June 10th and 11th at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond. At the request of Bethel coach Eddie Williams and the very willing compliance of meet management, the 800 meter sprint medley relay has been added to the tail end of Saturday\'s portion of the meet in hopes of taking down the national record in the event with McCorory on anchor with her 51.93 open 400 meter personal best. McCorory will also be competing in an open event in the meet as well, which has yet to be determined which event. The national record in the 800 meter sprint medley stands at 1:38.73, which was set in 2003 by Poly of Long Beach, California at the Arcadia Invite. McCorory and Bethel add to a growing list of high-caliber athletes and teams that will be attending the first year event hosted by MileStat.com.
