MileStat.com is attempting to interview the vast majority of the 40+ runners over the next week that the website has selected to be on this year's All-MileStat.com Cross Country Team. Cave Spring junior Katie Fortner was just two places away from a trip to San Diego for the Foot Locker Nationals with a 12th place effort of 17:44. It was the finish to a very strong fall of racing for the 4:49 All-American miler. A top 5 finisher in major invitationals at Great American, William & Mary and Knights Crossing Invitational in the month of September, Forter enjoyed victories as well during the invitational season at the Metro Championships and Runnin' with the Wolves Rocktoberfest.
