Craig Gallimore was a 2003 graduate of Lake Braddock High School and while missing his senior year outdoor state meet due to injury, accomplished quite a lot prior in the hurdles to allow him to be considered as one of the hurdle greats in Virginia this past decade. Gallimore was the 2002 Group AAA state champion in the 300 meter hurdles and a narrow runner-up in the 110 meter hurdles in the same meet.
His best high school meet came at the 2003 National Scholastic Indoor Championships in New York with a runner-up finish in the 60 meter hurdles in a 8.02 clocking as well as running anchor on a Lake Braddock 4x400 which would set a Virginia high school indoor state record at 3:19.22. Gallimore was also a state runner-up in the 55 meter hurdles in the same indoor season. Gallimore had high school bests of 7.41 in the 55 meter hurdles, 14.15 in the 110 meter hurdles, and 37.75 in the 300 meter hurdles.
After finishing up a collegiate career at California Berkeley and extending his studies to graduate school at Virginia Tech, Gallimore now does weapon testing for the Navy. Read more for interview with Craig Gallimore...
