A list of Virginia girls ranked among the top 500 nationally and anywhere around the top 0.5% best in their respective events in the United States from this past outdoor season. The Woodbridge girls 4x400 meter relay were the highest ranked Virginians nationally in any event this past spring at US #4 in the 400 with their season best time of 3:43.49.

  John Marshall's Mary Allen (pictured above by Ryan Kelly) showed a lot of range and toughness in completing the indoor sprint triple of the 55, 500, and 300 meter dash at Monday evening's Jamestown Winter Track & Field Festival. She not only competed in all three events, but won all three races with swift times of 7.29 in the 55, 1:17.81 in the 500, and 41.10. The John Marshall junior had close competition in each including teammate Breanna Taylor right behind in the 55 dash finals at 7.30 and thrilling 500 race with Churchland's Khadeja Kearney (pictured above) and Tabb's Kiara Porter both timed at 1:18. Allen will certainly be a force within the Central Region and her triple on Monday proves that she is capable of pulling off the same feat at the regional championships if her coaches decide to enter her in all three events.   A list of the top 10 Central Region girls performers in each event (links to full rankings included) through January 12th.  Mary Allen(pictured above by John Herzog) leads a strong group of John Marshall girls sprinters, which currently has the Central Region's fastest times in the 4x200 (1:47.85) and 4x400 (4:09.56) meter relays. Individually, the John Marshall junior Allen has the region's best performances in the 55 meter dash (7.22) and 300 meter dash (41.46) with senior teammate Breanna Taylor not far behind with Taylor's season bests at 7.31 in the 55 and 41.56 in the 300.
