EQUIPMENT: VINYL OR PLASTIC INDOOR SHOTS AND STARTING BLOCKS WILL BE FURNISHED BY MEET MANAGEMENT. ALL OTHER EQUIPMENT, TEAM OR PERSONAL, MUST BE SUPPLIED BY COMPETING TEAMS AND INDIVIDUALS. SPIKES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON ANY SURFACE IN THE ASHE CENTER !

UNIFORM: ATHLETES ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR THE OFFICIAL SCHOOL UNIFORM. COMPETITORS NUMBERS AND HIP NUMBERS, IF FURNISHED, MUST BE WORN.

DRESSING: LIMITED DRESSING FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE ASHE CENTER. YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO COME DRESSED TO COMPETE.

ENTRY LIMITATION: EACH SCHOOL MAY ENTER A MAXIMUM OF THREE (3) ENTRIES FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL EVENT, UNLESS ALL ENTRIES LISTED FOR THAT EVENT HAVE MET THE DISTRICT MEET QUALIFYING STANDARD FOR THAT EVENT, IN WHICH CASE ALL QUALIFIED ATHLETES MAY BE LISTED.EACH SCHOOL IS ALLOWED ONLY ONE RELAY TEAM PER RELAY EVENT. BY NFHS RULES EACH SCHOOL MAY COMPETE AS MANY ATHLETES IN EACH INDIVIDUAL EVENT AS ARE QUALIFIED. NO ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED THAT HAS NOT COMPETED IN THEIR EVENT OR AN EVENT THAT QUALIFIES FOR THEIR EVENT IN A BONAFIDE MEET DURING THE CURRENT INDOOR SEASON.

RELAY DECLARATION AND ALTERNATES: RELAY TEAMS WILL BE OFFICIALLY DECLARED ON A RELAY DECLARATION CARD WHEN THE TEAM REPORTS TO THE CLERK OF COURSE FOR CHECK-IN. AT THAT TIME A MAXIMUM OF SIX (6) ATHLETES FROM YOUR ENTRY ROSTER MAY BE LISTED, ANY FOUR (4) OF WHICH MAY RUN. THE RELAY WILL COUNT AS AN EVENT ONLY FOR THOSE ATHLETES WHO ACTUALLY RUN. MAKE SURE YOU LIST ALL POSSIBLE RELAY LEGS IN YOUR ON-LINE ENTRY. ATHLETES ENTERED IN INDIVIDUAL EVENTS NEED NOT BE RE- LISTED AS RELAY LEGS.

ENTRY FORMS: ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED ON-LINE VIA THE MILESTAT ENTRY SYSTEM NO LATER THAN MIDNIGHT, SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2012. ONLY PERFORMANCES VERIFIED BY THE MILESTAT DATA BASE FOR THE CURRENT INDOOR SEASON WILL BE ALLOWED FOR ENTRY.

REGIONAL MEET QUALIFYING: THE TOP SIX (6) FINISHERS IN EACH EVENT INCLUDING RELAYS FROM THE DISTRICT MEET AND ANY ATHLETE OR RELAY TEAM MEETING THE 2012 REGIONAL STANDARDS WILL ADVANCE AS WELL.

COACHES MEETING TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2012 - MAGGIE WALKER GOVERNORS SCHOOL CAFETERIA - DECLARATION: 6:30 PM SHARP! EACH COMPETING SCHOOL MUST HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE PRESENT. ALL ENTRIES IN SEEDED OR SECTIONED RUNNING EVENTS DECLARED AT THIS MEETING WILL HAVE THOSE EVENTS COUNT TOWARD THEIR ENTRY LIMIT WHETHER THEY COMPETE IN THEM OR NOT.

OFFICIALS: DUE TO THE SHORTAGE OF QUALIFIED AREA OFFICIALS AND IN ORDER TO BE ASSURED OF QUALITY OFFICIATING, WE NEED EACH TEAM TO BE PREPARED TO SUPPLY ONE FIELD EVENT JUDGE AND ONE RUNNING EVENT JUDGE FOR EACH DAY OF COMPETITION. WE REALIZE THAT THIS IS NOT AN IDEAL SITUATION, BUT IT WILL GUARENTEE THAT THE MEET WILL BE OFFICIATED IN THE BEST POSSIBLE MANNER.

ALL-ACADEMIC: THE COLONIAL DISTRICT NOW HONORS THE TOP ATHLETES IN EACH SPORT THAT MEET MVP MAINTAIN A 3.0 CUMULATIVE GPA. PLEASE INDICATE ALL ACADEMIC CANDIDATES WITH COACH OF THE YEAR AN ASTERISK FOLLOWING THEIR LAST NAME ON YOUR ON-LINE ENTRY. BALLOTS FOR COACH-OF-THE-YEAR AND MEET MVP WILL BE PROVIDED AND MUST BE RETURNED BY THE CONCLUSION OF THE MEET.
