With the temperature in the 80s and humidity about the same, thunderstorms once again caused a break in the action. On the girls side First Flight's Jessica Wallace had another impressive day coasting to a victory in the 3200 and then coming back later in the meet to use an impressive kick to take the lead in the last 40M of the 800 as both her and Emily Latimer of Currituck dipped under 2:30. Ellie Randolph dominated both hurdle races and came under 17 in the 100h. Both Tyler Bannister and Naadira Moyston cleared 5' in the high jump for Norfolk Academy. Currituck's Kayla Powell and Mah'Nyiah Iglesia both threw the shot over 30'.
In the JV Girls Theresa Jones of Stonebridge won the 100, 400, and the 200. Norfolk Academy's Maddie King won the 1600 in a sub 5:50 performance after winning the Pole Vault and taking 2nd in the LJ.
The Varsity Boys meet was a strong showing by Norfolk Academy. Norfolk Academy athletes won 11 of the 16 events contested.
In the JV Boys Hampton Christian's Brandon Simmons won the 100 and the 200, and took 2nd in the 400.
