It was Sports Festival Day at Norfolk Academy with all the varsity teams having home contests. The weather was good and breeze was slight albeit a headwind on the homestretch. On the team scores Norfolk Academy won both the girls and the Boys.
In the boys Norfolk Academy's Marquis Evans had a big day with wins in the 100 and 200. Grant Wiggins and Ian Granger both dipped under 4:40 in the mile and Granger came back to win the 800. Bishop Sullivan's Chris Fant led the Crusaders winning the intermediate hurdles and the high jump.
In the girls Norfolk Academy's Ellie Randolph won both hurdle races. Curritucks Katherine Schwalen won both the 100 and the 200. Of other note was Norfolk Academy 7th grader Maddie King running 5:32 in the 1600.
