5A North Region Cross-Country Meet

LOCATION: Oatlands Plantation
TIMES:
Girls Race 3:00 p.m.
Boys Race 3:45 p.m.
COACHES MEETING: 2:30 p.m. at Finish Line
COURSE DESCRIPTION: A 5K course run on the grounds on Leesburgs historic Oatlands Plantation. The course is mostly grass, with rolling hills, some wooded trails, and two creek crossings. Runners can expect some short hills with sharp inclines. A spectator friendly course that requires very little walking.
COURSE OPENS: 1:00 p.m. Closes for everyone at 2:45 p.m.
AWARDS: Awards will be presented at approx. 4:15 p.m. Championship Trophy and runner-up Trophy, plus medals go to the top 15 individuals.

ENTRIES: Attention Conference Meet Directors: Please fax (571-252-1912) or e-mail entry forms to Derek Farrey (Derek.Farrey@lcps.org) after the completion of the district meet. Entry Deadline: Friday, November 1st 9:00 A.M, earlier if possible, please.
ADMISSION: Admission will be charged according to Region 5A North policy. The cost of admission will be $7.00 general admission. Region 5A North Passes, VHSCA, VASSP, NASSP, VIAAA, and VHSL Principals Passes will be honored for the bearer only.
DIRECTIONS: From the South: Rt 29 North or I-66 to Rt 15North. Stay on Rt 15 North approximately 18 miles to Oatlands Plantation on the right.
From the East: Rt. 267 (Toll Road) West to Leesburg. Left Lane at the end of the toll road. Less than .5 mile to second exit, Rt 15 South. Follow Rt 15 South approximately 5 miles to Oatlands Plantation on the left.
From the West: Rt 7 East to Leesburg. Follow Rt 7 Bypass to exit for Rt. 15 South. Follow Rt 15 for approximately 5 miles to Oatlands Plantation on the left.
PARKING: Please note that cars and buses will enter through the main entrance for parking and follow the signs once on the property.
DRESS: No dressing room, dress at home.
T-SHIRTS: Long-Sleeve Region T-Shirts will be sold for $20 on-site only. You may pre-order your shirts for your team. All the athletes entered in the region meet will have their name on the back of their shirts.
NO CONCESSIONS:
MISCELLANEOUS: 1. Stay off the fences and horse jumps
No coaches inside the finish area
Please be reminded to leave state entry forms with Derek Farrey or Matt Oblas.
Team Travel Reimbursement Report: Turn form in to Derek Farrey and indicate if you traveled by car, bus or van.
2013 VHSL STATE CROSS-COUNTRY MEET INFO
The top six teams and top 10 runners (exclusive) will advance to the state meet. The state meet is scheduled for Friday, November 15, at the Great Meadows course in The Plains, Virginia. Start times are as follows:
