Northern Region Meet Summary MileSplit Staff Feb 25, 2006

With wins from Theresa McCoy (40\'2.50\") in the shot put and Erin Klein (11:22.55) in the 3200 meter run as well as strength in depth across the board, the Lake Braddock girls successfully won their fourth straight Northern Region team title. The Centreville girls finished second with 80 points as Britni Finch led the Lady Wildcats with regional titles in the long jump (18\'5.75\") and 55 meter dash (7.30). Meanwhile, the Centreville boys (71 pts) only had one event winner with Jamalle Crowe\'s first place finish in the 55 meter hurdles, but were able to withstand James Robinson (66 pts) for the boys\' team title. Robert E. Lee junior Sean Holston had an outstanding meet setting two meet records in the sprints with quick times of 6.38 and 34.60 in the 55 and 300 meter dashes. More to come...

Northern Region Meet Preview Pearl Watts Feb 23, 2006

The Northern Region Track and Field Championships will once again be a one day only affair and will be held at the GMU Fieldhouse this Saturday, February 25 beginning at 8:30 a.m. with Lake Braddock looking to fend off Centreville and Westfield in the chase for the girls team title while the boys team title hopes has a handful of schools capable of capturing the crown with Centreville appearing to be among the favorites with West Potomac, Edison, Westfield and Robinson also in the hunt.
