The entry deadline for the 2014 MileStat.com Elite Track Classic is fast approaching as coaches have until midnight on Monday, April 21st to register their team and finalize their meet entries. The sixth annual MileStat.com Elite Track Classic has grown into the largest two day high school outdoor track & field event in the state of Virginia.

It is quite the week to be a fan of Virginia high school track & field. While many schools will make the trek up to Philadelphia for the Penn Relays, Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond will play host to the first Virginia mega-meet on the outdoor schedule. This year’s Milestat.com Elite Track Classic will feature over 1700 athletes from 87 different schools. Action kicks off at 4:30 PM on Friday and 8:30 AM on Saturday.
MileStat.com is excited to announce that we will be doing a first for this weekend's MileStat.com Elite Track Classic in providing a live webcast of the meet, which the site insiders can enjoy and watch from the comforts of their home. Over 87 schools from Virginia, Maryland, DC, and North Carolina are slated to attend with over 1,700 athletes competing. We will be providing a live stream from start to finish on both Friday and Saturday of all running events. Race videos will then be archived on replay after the meet on the meet page.
In arguably the largest weekend of the regular season, MileStat has unprecedented coverage slated. This includes live video coverage from MileStat.com's Elite Track Classic, live coverage at the Penn Relays and photo or video coverage from multiple meets as well. Revised schedule for tomorrow's MileStat.com Elite Track Classic after today's unfortunate prolonged weather delay due severe weather in the area to start the meet. We apologize for any inconvenience in the rescheduling of events, but couldn't control the unpredictability of mother nature.
Despite the 2014 edition of the MileStat.com Elite Track Classic facing a major obstacle created by Mother Nature on Friday with severe storms in the Richmond area forcing all of Friday's events to be postponed and rescheduled to Saturday, the meet was able to fit in all of the new events for day two and still finish only an hour beyond the original projected finish for day two. A long and jam-packed day of high school track & field action for Virginia's largest high school outdoor track & field invitational at Sports Backers Stadium saw a total of 77 MileSplit US national elite performances and a total of 6 meet records broken in the sixth annual event.

Rachel Bartolomeo of Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, North Carolina posted the nation's fastest time in the girls 2000 meter steeplchase with a 7:08.95 victory at the MileStat.com Elite Track Classic on Saturday, April 26th at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond, Virginia.
