Conference 13 CROSS COUNTRY MEET
BURKE LAKE PARK
OCTOBER 29th
Where: Burke Lake Park, Route 123 approximately 8 miles south of Fairfax
When: Thursday October 29th
Time: Boys Varsity @2:30 Girls Varsity @3:00 Awards at 4:30
Awards: Medals to the first 6 places. Trophy to team winners
Entry and All entries should be received no later than 4:00p.m. on Friday, October 23rd. Via Milestat
Dead Line Ivan Chirinos at Edison should get a hard copy print out as a backup.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN YOUR TEAM NOT BEING ENTERED.
Entries: Each Conference 13 School may enter a team in the boys race and the girls race. Each School is allowed seven scoring entries and three alternates for a maximum of 10 athletes per team per gender
Parking: All participants and patrons should park in parking lot A located near the small train.
Course: 3.0 miles, mostly on grass. Same course used last year for District and Regional events.
Numbers: All participants must wear numbers on the front of their shirts. The numbers along with pins and other official materials will be distributed to coaches at the scorers table.
Chip timing will be used at this meet so please make sure athletes know the proper way to secure chips to their shoes and make sure all chips are collected and returned at the end of the meet as a fee will be charged to the team for any missing chips.
Finish: The finish position will be determined by when the assigned chip crosses the line. Bib numbers will be scanned and the tear off tab will be collected as athletes exit the finish line shoot. Please instruct your athletes to continue to move in the shoot in the order they finished and exit at the end of the shoot. Only athletes that have finished the competition are allowed in the chute area unless medical help is needed.
