Conference 29 XC Championships

Course opens at 1:30pm
Girls Championship: 3:00pm
Boys Championship: 4:00pm
Open Race: 4:30pm
Awards: 5:30pm
Course viewing: FDHS is hosting an invitational on October 15 which is the opportunity for viewing the course. Registration is available on www.milestat.com

The top 3 teams plus the top 5 runners exclusive of the three teams advance to the 3A West Championships to be run on November 1st, 2016 at the Virginia Horse Center (hosted by Rockbridge County High School).
Team championship trophies to top girls and boys teams, ribbons to top 3 individuals in each race, certificates to the top fifteen(All-Conference). Note: this is conference policy, not the host.
You are allowed to enter ten runners but can only race seven in the championship race. There will be an open race for coaches wishing to run any athletes not competing in the championship races.
Boys and girls will run together in the open race and coaches should time their own runners. We will attempt to time the open race but first priority is the championship races.
Registration is through www.milestat.com. You must also email your VHSL Conference entry form to David Stewart at fdhstrack@yahoo.com by Sunday, October 23th by 4:59am. Please enter all athletes that will be running on milestat.com including alternates and open race athletes. Only the 10 athletes listed on your VHSL Conference entry form will be eligible to run in the championship race. 8th graders may participate in the open/JV race.

Directions to Mill Place Park (FDHS home course)
From the North: Take I-81 to Exit 227. Bear to the right at end of ramp onto Laurel Hill Road. Move to left lane and turn left at first light onto Mill Place Parkway. Travel approx.. .7 mile until you see the sign for Shamrock Dairy, turn left onto the dirt road through the gate just before the sign. Bus and car parking will be immediately to the left. Teams unload and follow the dirt road to porta-johns and the start/finish area.
From the South: Take I-81 to Exit 227. At stop sign at end of ramp, turn left onto Laurel Hill Road and stay in left lane. Turn left at first light onto Mill Place Parkway. Tent Area: Schools are to set their tents up in the grassy area near the hay bales.
Spectator cost: The conference charges $5.00 per person (payable as cars/ spectators enter parking lot).
Restroom facilities Porta-potties will located along the walk in.
Official results will be available to coaches as hard copy after the awards ceremony and will also be posted on Milestat.com.
Regional entrees are due October 27th at 11:59pm.
