DiValentin breaks Hadiji\'s record at Charger 3200 MileSplit Staff Nov 17, 2007

At last year's Charger Open 3200 meter race at Chantilly High School, W.T. Woodson's Sarrah Hadiji rebounded from a disappointing state meet with a 11:09 3200 meter performance. Hadiji would carry the momentum onto Foot Locker South finishing the season on a high note by posting a personal best 5K time of 17:47 in a 13th place finish in Charlotte. Chantilly junior Lia DiValentin (pictured right by John Herzog) by no means had a disappointing state meet breaking 18 minutes and coming up just short of a state cross country title, but beating Hadiji's time from a year ago by four seconds in 11:05 should give her confidence in running after one of those top ten Foot Locker National qualifying spots next weekend. The Degfae twins from Thomas Edison, Leoule and Tihut, led the boys' field at the Charger Open with Leoule picking up the win in 9:52 and Tihut trailing in six seconds later for second place at 9:58.Charger Open 3200 Results
