Cedar Run District Meet 2007

Great Meadow several years ago played host to several district and regional contests prior to the state meet, but this year will only have one championship season meet outside of the VHSL State Cross Country Championships with the Cedar Run District Meet on Wednesday. The races will be hosted on the same course contested at the Great Meadow and Octoberfest Invite, which saw some swift times posted in the later season meet with dry conditions and cool weather. Less pleasant conditions are expected for the Cedar Run Championships with rain and cooler temperatures, so it will be interesting to see how the times run on Wednesday. One of the state's top girls in Ariel Karabinus of Osbourn Park will be a nice gauge considering how fast she has already run at Great Meadow and elsewhere this fall. Meanwhile, Osbourn Park boys will hope a domination up front with Tyler Simmons and Richard Arena will overcome depth issues against a deep Battlefield lineup.
