SRHS CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL
WHEN: Saturday, October 7, 2017
WHERE: The SRHS CC course is located 6 miles South of SRHS at Moneta Park, located just off of Route 122 South on Rucker Road in Moneta, Virginia
TIME SCHEDULE:
8:30 AM Open Race and course tours. This race is open to coaches, alumni, and other non-high school runners at no cost.
9:10 AM Coaches meeting/Packet pickup at Check in Tent.
9:30 AM Middle School Girls Race Distance not yet determined
10:00 AM Middle School Boys Race Distance not yet determined
10:30 AM Girls Varsity Race
11:15 AM Boys Varsity Race
11:45 PM Girls JV Race
12:30 PM Boys JV Race 1:15 PM Approximate time of awards
COURSE: The course is 5K (3.1 miles) with variable terrain. It is 100% grass so spikes are an option. The course will be clearly marked with pointed arrows, flagging, and directional indicators (people who know where to go). Times are comparable to other courses in the area. The course is also spectator friendly and provides for exciting viewing.
RESTROOMS: Available. There will be no shower facilities.
ENTRIES: Up to 7 in each varsity race. Unlimited JV entries.
8th graders must run the Middle School Race as they are not permitted to run against 11th or 12th graders

COST: $75.00 per varsity team (Boys) $140.00 if entering a Boys and Girls Team
$35.00 for Each Middle School Team. $70.00 if entering Boys and Girls Middle Teams.
Schools entering Less than 5 athletes Varsity or Middle School per gender will pay $5.00 per athlete.
Example 1 Varsity Boys Team, plus 3 Varsity Girls and 1 8th grade boy

CONCESSIONS: The Cross Country Boosters will offer food and drinks for sale. (Menu Vitos Pizza, coffee, hot chocolate, water, Coke Products, candy and baked goods etc.)
AWARDS: Medals will be given to the top 10 finishers in all races. Team trophies will be awarded to the top two teams in each varsity race.
