ENTRYRULESParticipation in the Region Cross Country Championshipsis open to all 14 2A Region A Schools.
ENTRYDEADLINE:ALLENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED ON-LINE THROUGHMILESTAT.COMNOLATER THAN 12:00 MIDNIGHT ONWEDNESDAY, OCT. 25, 2017. YOU MAY ENTER AS MANY ATHLETES FROM YOUR TEAMROSTER AS YOU LIKE, BUT ONLY 7 RUNNERS FROM EACH SCHOOL MAY COMPETE IN THE VARSITY CHAMPIONSHIP RACES.ALL OTHERS MAY COMPETE IN THE JOINT 5A-2A SUB-VARSITY RACES. PLEASEFOLLOW ALL ON-LINE ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY AND MAKE SURE TO ENTER ALLFROM YOUR TEAM WHO MAY COMPETE.

COURSE:The Pole Green Park National 5000Meter (3.1 miles) Course was established in 2008 for the USATF National JuniorOlympic Cross Country Championships The starting area is wide enough tomaccommodate large numbers of runners with the first turn more than 600 metersaway. It is spectator friendly with wide open running lanes of mostly grass andwooded trails. Flats or short spikes are recommended

TOURS: Teams andindividuals are encouraged to tour the course before the day of the meetNOTE: THE COURSE WILL BE OPEN FOR TOURING AT 10:00AM ON RACE andCLOSED AT 1:00 PM AND NOFURTHER TOURING WILL BE ALLOWED BEYOND 1:00 PM.
BIB NUMBERS Bib numbers with tear-off tags and pinswill be provided for all runners and must be worn unaltered on the front of theracing singlet.

STATE QUALIFYING Thetop three (3) teams and the first five (5) individuals not on one of those threeteams in theChampionship Races will qualify for the.State 2A Championships scheduled for Great Meadows on Saturday, November 11,2017. State Meet information will be included in the team packets.
CONCESSIONS: The Lee-Davis Booster Clubwill have drinks and food for sale.
T-SHIRTS Multi-coloredprofessionally printed REGIONAL CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP T-Shirtswill be on sale on meet day. PLEASE INFORM YOUR RUNNERS AND PARENTS

DIRECTIONS:Pole Green Park is located on Pole Green Road about 3 miles fromthe intersection ofPoleGreen Rd, and I-295.Upon entering thePark, stay on the main road past Pole Green ElementarySchoolto the rear of the Park The course is just past the skate park and softball fields.
From I-295:Take
Exit 38 A to Pole Green Road exit (Route 627). Continue East on Pole Green Roadfor 3.5 miles. Turn left onto Pole Green Park Lane. Continue on Pole Green ParkLane for about mile to park entrance.
From I-95South:
Follow I-95 North to I-64 East (Exit 75)toward Norfolk/RIC Airport. Continue on I-64 East for 1.4 miles until you reachUS 360 East (Exit 192). Follow 360 East (Mechanicsville Turnpike) for 8.4miles. Turn left onto Walnut Grove Road. Follow Walnut Grove for 0.8 miles.Turn left onto Pole Green Road. Follow Pole Green Road for 0.4 miles. Turn
right onto Pole Green Park Lane. Follow Pole Green Park Lane for 1/2 mile topark entrance
From I-95North:
Follow I-95 South to I-295 South (Exit 84A)on the left toward Rocky Mount, NC. Follow I-295 South for 5.5 miles until youreach Exit 38A (continue with directions listedabove "from I-295").
FromHampton Roads/Williamsburg Area (I-64 West):
Follow I-64 West to I-295 North (Exit 200)toward Washington. Follow I-295 North for 10.3 miles until you reach Exit 38A(continue with directions listed above "from I-295").
FromCharlottesville Area (I-64 East):
Follow I-64 East to I-295 South (Exit 177) towardWashington/Norfolk. Follow I-295 South for 14.7 miles until you reach Exit 38A(continue with directions listed above "from I-295")..
