It is a guarantee that meet records will fall at Saturday's VHSL Group AA State Indoor Track and Field Championships. The only question is how many? Lets take a look at the events with athletes most likely to set new meet records. MileStat.com's Brandon Miles projects nine records have legitimate threats to no longer existing after this weekend with a male dominance in Group AA as eight of the nine are boys' events. Boys Shot Put - 100% Chance Turner Ashby's Justin Smith (Photo by Tom Hoerner) Meet Record: 55'6.25" - Jarrod Burton (Tazewell) - 2006 Likely Record Breaker: Justin Smith (Turner Ashby) - 58'1.75" Season Best Analysis: The record should be blown out of the water by Smith barring a completely off day as he just threw over 58 feet at his regional meet and has been consistently throwing over the meet record mark this season including a throw of 57'4" earlier in the season at the state meet venue for the Asics Invite.
