Athlete Check-In: All field event athletes will be required to check-in at their event site 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of their event. All running event athletes need to be in the heating area 15 minutes before their race to be heated by the clerk. If an athlete misses their heat, we will not be adding them in to a later heat. There will be no declarations except relay card turn-in of the 4x400 (see below). 4x800 and 4x200 will also turn in relay cards but this is to ensure we have the correct names and orders, not for purposes of re-seeding. All running event athletes will need hip numbers this year due to new placement of cameras. Athletes will need to get their own hip numbers and may do so at any time. Hip numbers for all 4x800s will be provided in the team packets so that those athletes may proceed to directly to check-in after getting their spikes checked.
Implements: Implement weigh-in will take place at the site of competition. All implements must be checked in 30 minutes before the event starts in order to be used.
Athletic Trainers: Two certified Athletic Trainers will be available for first-aid services only. If an athletic trainer is unable to attend the meet with your team, you must send a kit with supplies (tape, pre-wrap, band aids). Ice will be available for injuries that occur.

We will be using relay cards for the 4x800 and 4x200. These must be turned in when the athletes check in but will not affect seeding. Relay cards for the 4x400 must be turned in before the seeded sections of the 3200 and will be used to seed the races.
A final time schedule will be released Thursday or Friday before the meet after all entries have closed.
Results: Meet results will be posted online on blueridgetiming.com and Milestat and will be posted at the meet after each event ends. Please check the completed results for the correct results. Checkout Procedures: We will follow NHFS rules for checking out/in of field events for running events. For example, please do not allow your athlete to check out when the 55H begin if they are in heat number 30. Athletes will have 15 minutes from the time they check out to return to continue in the competition. If an athlete is competing in open pit long or triple jump, they must complete all of their jumps in the time allotted for their flight. They do not need to check out and in. Athletes will not be allowed to take jumps in a flight other than the one they are assigned.
Spikes: 1/4 Inch pyramids are the only acceptable spikes. Spikes will be checked and marked at the far end of the warm-up track. No athletes will be permitted to compete without proper marking on their spikes. Field event athletes can have their spikes checked at their field event.
Tape: Only athletic tape may be used as markers for the jumps. NO chalk or other type of tape is allowed.
Relays: All relay team members must be dressed under the new 2019 uniform rules. Different colored tops/bottoms on different relay members will not be acceptable. For example, 1 relay member cannot have a red top and black shorts while the other 3 all have black tops and black shorts. We will be following NFHS rules as this is a sanctioned meet.
55s/55Hs- This year athletes in the 55s and 55Hs will be finishing into mats at the end of track in the center of the oval. Please advise your athletes to make sure to hit the mats as they finish as a means of slowing down and stopping.
Parking: There is no charge for parking. Buses will be directed to the best available place not in a parking lot when teams arrive. Buses will not be permitted to park in the main lot by the athlete entrance. Due to the large number of spectators expected, we would like that lot to remain open for them. Buses may pull into that lot to drop teams off by the athlete entrance.
Facility usage: All athletes and coaches must enter through the lower level lobby and then proceed upstairs using the stairs in the lobby. Only those carrying poles will be allowed to enter through the main floor doors. All teams will be assigned an area of the team camp level to set up camps. Please ensure that there is a walkway left by the railing of the team camp area. Each team will receive a garbage bag in their team packet. Please use this as we want to be able to continue to use this facility.
Athletes will only be allowed in the downstairs area of the track when warming up or competing. NO team camps will be allowed on the main floor and no food or drink will be allowed anywhere on the main floor. Athletes will be warned and then disqualified for continued violation.
All athletes must have their bib numbers on to be on the oval. NO SPIKES are allowed on the stairs. Athletes must wait until they get downstairs to put on their spikes.
NO head phones or electronics will be allowed inside the oval. Athletes will be warned and then can be disqualified if a second infraction occurs.
Coaches will only be allowed in the coaching boxes or on the main floor if they have a wristband. Coaches will not be allowed inside the oval unless they are in a coach's box coaching a field event. Wristbands may be picked up by the head coach at the time of team check-in.
