Massaponax Panther Paw Invitational 2020

The 4th Annual Panther Paw Invitational, Saturday, April 11th, 2020, will be a highly contested event with teams from Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware, North Carolina, And Pennsylvania.

Location: Massaponax High School, 8201 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22407

FACILITY: Panther Stadium boasts a beautiful 400m 8 Lane rubberized surface. Newly constructed jump pits ( LJ, TJ, HJ, PV ). All throws are held adjacent to the track with brushed concrete surfaces.

Time: 9:00 am Coaches Meeting: Field events will begin at 9:30 am 1st Running event at 9:45am

Packet Pick-Up: Coaches can pick up their packets at the table to the right of the front gate.

Coach's Meeting: Will be held in the check-in area by the 300m Start Line at 9:00 am. Coaches may pick up school packet at the pass gate before the coaches meeting. The packets will contain a meet program, competitors numbers and safety pins. Coffee, Donuts, and Bagels will be provided.

 Awards: Medals: Top Three Individual and Relay events

Entry Fee: $175.00 PER GENDER TEAM / $350.00 BOYS AND GIRLS COMBINED TEAM Teams are defined as 10 or more athletes per gender. Teams with less than 10 athletes are $15.00 per individual. Makes all checks payable to MASSAPONAX HIGH SCHOOL

Entry Restrictions: Five (5) Athletes per Event per Gender. Two (2) Relay per Event per Gender.

Spectator Fee: $8.00 for spectators for an all-day pass.

The Sprint Medley Relay and The Distance Medley Relay have been added to the Meet. Please feel free to register your team for Qualifying for NEW BALANCE OUTDOOR NATIONALS in Greensboro, NC.

 Registration Deadline: Tuesday, April 7th, 11:59 pm

Sanction: Meet will be sanctioned by the state association VHSL as well as for District of Columbia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Maryland (with others to be added potentially).

Online Entry System: Meet entries will be done online through MileSplit registration system. Coaches need to claim themselves as team admins on their team pages on the MileSplit network in order to have access to do their entries. All entries must be done online. No exceptions.



Lane Preference: For distance events with waterfall starts, we will seed best to worst from outside to inside lanes.

Heat/Flight Order: All running events will have the heats go fast to slow.

All field events will be the opposite, with the highest-seeded flights going last.

Infield Access: No coaches or athletes will be permitted on the infield area and will be grounds for disqualification. No electronic devices (cell phones, iPods, CD/MP3 players, etc) are allowed in the competition area.

T-Shirts & Concession: Both T-shirts and concession stand vendors will be on-site.

Minimum Standards: Long and Triple Jump / Shot and Discus noted in . We will mark everyone's first attempt

(1) Girls 15-0 - Boys Long Jump 17-0 (4 Jumps/No Finals) 

(2) Boys 28 - Girls 37 Triple Jump (4 Jumps/No Finals)

(1) Boys 100 Discus and Girls Shot Put 28 (4 Throws/No Finals)

(2) Girls Discus 90 and Boys Shot Put 38 (4 Throws/No Finals)

(1) Girls High Jump (4'2")/Boys High Jump (5'2")

(2) Boys Pole Vault  and Girls Pole Vault
