The TournamentDirector and Meet Referee reserve the right to place anathlete, regardlessof entry time, into an appropriate heat/flight baseduponskill-performance level.

EQUIPMENT:Each school will furnish its own batons,shots,vaulting poles and tarps for HJ/PV.Starting blocks will be provided.
RULES:2020 Edition National Federation ruleBook and the 2020-21Edition of the VHSLHandbook.
SCORING:none
CALLFOREVENTS:First call--15 minutes prior tothe scheduled time of event
Second call--10 minutesprior.
Third call--5minutes prior.
Athletes should report at First Call.In events run by heats,all starters must report to the clerk at the check-in area beforethe first heat isrun. Failure to report at the time willresult in ascratch. Each individual declared for participationmustactually participate.
SCRATCHES:Any scratches in any seeded or sectioned eventfollowing the coaches' scratch deadline date will not disqualify anathlete from all subsequent running events. When a contestant who has qualified in a preliminary withdraws from competition, no substitute will be allowed.If an athlete is excused from an event by the athletic trainer orphysician appointed by the games committee, that athlete will be eligible forany and all other events if later cleared by same.No event in the meet is to be held up becausea participant is engaged in another event.If a contestant is entered in a field event in which he is entered,he/she shall make advance arrangements with the official in charge to completehis/her trials after the track event.NOTRACK EVENT WILL BE HELD UP BECAUSE OF A FIELD EVENT.
INDIVIDUALPARTICIPATION:In one meet, a contestant may compete in anynumber of fieldevents, but shall be limited to participation in only threerunning events.
UNIFORMS :Team members shall wear the schooluniform. A competitormust be inthe proper track uniform and wearing his contestantnumber beforehe/she will be permitted to compete.Numbers,when wornshall be attached to the front of the shirt for allevents.
CONTROLOFTHEFIELD:Each coach is asked tokeep his/her squad in the stands, off thetrack, and out of the infield,except when an individual iscompeting orwarming-up.The only people allowed ontheinfield arethose with identification tags indicating an officialcapacity in themeet.All others may be disqualified.

ADVANCEMENT Top 6 places from each individualevent and top 3 relay teams willadvance toregion meet.
Events have been spaced out to allow rest time between events.
