SPIRE INVITATIONAL

Under the Lights

Saturday, May 15 - 7:00-10:00 p.m.

 UPDATE: Due to time constraints - there will be no 4 x 800.

This meet is by invitation only.

Unattached athletes welcome with the following time standards:

Male: 100 -  :12; 200 - :28; 400 - :55; 800 - 2:05; 1600 - 4:35; 3200 - 15:00.

Female: 100 - :13; 200 - :28; 400 - 1:05; 800 - 2:35; 1600 - 5:45; 3200 - 15:00.

ENTRY INFORMATION:

High School - Each team is allowed 4 athletes per event and 2 relays per event.

Junior High - Each team is allowed 3 athletes per event and 1 relay per event.

 

Entry fee: $120 per team (this price includes both middle and high school, male and female). Payment is due at the time of registration - paid via check made payable to:  Spire

ORDER OF EVENTS: 

Rolling schedule.

Girls first, then boys.  JH runs before HS.  May combine JH and HS to fill heats

Seed times, slower heats first.

o  Track opens at 6:30 p.m. (please don't set up or get on the track earlier as soccer games are finishing up.)

o  Coaches Meeting 7:00 p.m.

o  Running events start at 7:30 p.m.

TEAM INFORMATION:

o  No field events or hurdles.

o  Results and fully automatic timing provided by Bernard Canady, Mantronix Sports.

o  Announcer will instruct athletes when to visit the Clerk of the Course to receive hip numbers.

o  Team scoring: Top six. 1st place (10), 2nd (8), 3rd (6), 4th (4), 5th (2), 6th (1)

  • 400 meter, six lane rubberized track. Spikes are allowed.
  • Porta-potties are available.
  • Each team is responsible for bringing their own starting blocks, relay batons, and water containers.
  • Volunteers: Each team may be asked to provide volunteers. If needed, volunteers will be assigned jobs at the Coaches' Meeting.

 

COVID Procedures

o  Each team responsible to screen their athletes, coaches and volunteer personnel prior to arrival

o  Everyone Mask/Social Distance (exception - athletes exercising or competing) 

o  Limited space for spectators, bring your own seating as there are no bleachers.  Spectators will be sitting outside of the fence area.
