College of William & Mary XC Invite

We are pleased to announce a brand new XC course and venue to South East VA. This course will be professionally marked, measured, and promises to be fast.

High School will run a 5K. Middle School will run a 4K.

Awards: The Top 3 individuals of the high school and middle school races will be given medals.

The top team in each division will be awarded a custom engraved plaque.

Top 3 runners of each race will be interviewed post-race and posted on Milestat.com!

Schedule

9:00 am - EE Girls - Unlimited entries

9:30am - EE Boys - Unlimited entries

10:00am - ROC Girls - 10 runners per team max

10:30am - ROC - 10 runners per team max

11:00am - Middle School Girls and Boys (4k) (Combined). If entries are large, we will run the girls at 11 and the boys 11:30.

Divisions:

Race of Champions (Girls/Boys)- Top 20 Ranked Teams. 10 Runners per team

Emerging Elite (Girls/Boys)- The next 5 runners of the top 20 ranked teams. Unlimited runners

Middle School (Girls/Boys)- Unlimited runners per gender

NOTE: Top 20 ranked teams chosen based on meet management's discretion will be placed in Race of Champions division races. Each team will be allowed 10 runners. The next 5 runners of the top 20 ranked teams will be placed in the Emerging Elite division races. Select top-ranked individuals may also be placed in the Race of Champions race without their team who were not selected for the ROC race. A list of teams in each division will be posted on MileStat.com.

School Limits: None

Home-Schooled Athletes: This meet is VHSL-sanctioned for Virginia Member schools only. No other states will be allowed to run in the sanctioned portion of the meet. If you need further explanation, please call Tim at 407-748-4663.

Sanctioning: This meet will be VHSL sanctioned for Virginia schools only. NOTICE TO VIRGINIA MEMBER SCHOOLS. You are hereby notified that home-schooled athletes will be competing in the high school division. If your school does not agree to allow home-schooled athletes to compete, please let the meet director know ASAP. Timcrytser@gmail.com

Individual Entries: High school coaches may enter individuals instead of their full squad into this event. Only high school coaches and no athlete or parent can enter an individual athlete into the meet to compete. Girls individuals with 5K best times under 20 minutes may run in the ROC race, while girls individuals with 5K PR's over 20 minutes may run in the EE race. Boys individuals with 5K best times under 17 minutes may run in the ROC, while boys individuals with 5K PR's over 17 minutes may run in the EE race

Race Limitations: 10 runners per team in the Champions race. Unlimited runners per team in EE. Middle school races are unlimited.

Entry Fees:

High School Boys Team- $300.00

High School Girls Team- $300.00

Both High School Boys and Girls Team- $375.00

Middle School Boys Team- $50.00

Middle School Girls Team- $50.00

Both Middle School Girls and Boys Team- $75.00

Individual (High & Middle School) = $10.00

Course Description: The course is rolling terrain with mostly grass. Every mile is clearly marked as well as every 1000 meters. The course is set up to be spectator friendly.
