Meet Information
Third Annual Massaponax/King George Polar Bear Meet. We hope to build on our success of the past two years and again bring some good competition to the meet. If you are interested, please contact Coach Bob MacDonald (MHS) by Friday, January 16. We also allow coaches to bring selected athletes in lieu of a whole team if they are looking for a workout for a key athlete or two. We would like to get your entries NLT 4:00PM on Thursday 22 January so that we can set up the heats in advance to make the meet run a little more smoothly. You can either email them to our Meet Statistician at leesmail@adelphia.net and/or fax them to Coach MacDonald at 540-710-1596. Entries are limited to VA schools only. Limit to three per event. Open pits for 30 minutes for throws and vertical events. Pole vault event will be held pending weather conditions. If this is an S.A.T. date as it was last year, we will provide local locations for the test so that athletes can take the test and still be within ten minutes of the meet. There will be a $3 admission fee for spectators. There will also be a concession stand. Order of events will be standard. Make checks payable to Massaponax High School. These can be hand delivered the day of the meet to avoid refunds in case of inclement weather cancellation. The meet will take place weather permitting. If canceled, you will be contacted prior to the meet. The meet will be organized and run by MHS and KG coaching staff.
