T-shirts will be sold on site
Port-a-johns available.
Team tents will be set up in grass to the right of the starting area. Please check your team area for trash and personal items before leaving.
Schedule of Events:
1:30 Buses may arrive
2:30 Coaches Meeting if needed
3:00 pm Girls Varsity Race, athletes be on lin by 2:55
4:00 pm Boys Varsity Race
4:30 approximately, Awards will follow as soon as scores are tabulated and confirmed
Entries: You may enter 10, but may race only 7
Awards & Advancement
- Medals to top 7 individuals in the girls and boys races . Top 7 are First Team All-District. Next 7 are Second Team All-District.
- 1st place team (traveling trophy)
- Teams Advancing to Region 2B- The (full) top 2 teams from each district meet plus the next 3 individuals not on those two teams will qualify for the region meet.
- Teams Advancing to Region 3C: The (full) top 2 teams from each district meet plus the next 3 individuals not on those two teams will qualify for the region meet.
Directions to Mount Airy (FDHS home course)
From the North: Take I-81 South to Exit 227 (Verona). Merge right onto Laurel Hill Rd. Travel approx. 8/10 mile and turn left onto Lee Hwy/US-11 South. Travel approx.. 1.4 miles and turn left onto Technology Drive Follow Technology Drive for approx.. mile. Parking will be on the left at the Augusta Fire and Rescue Training Center.
From the South: Take I-81 North to Exit 225 (Woodrow Wilson Pkwy), turn left onto VA-262/Woodrow Wilson Pkwy. Travel approx.. 1.5 miles, turn right onto US-11 North. Travel approx...5 miles and turn right at stoplight onto Technology Drive. Follow Technology Drive for approx.. mile. Parking will be on the left at the Augusta Fire and Rescue Training Center.
