DIRECTIONS | Buford Meredith Cross Country Course (1278 Washington St SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060)

From the north or east

Take Interstate 81 south to exit 118B, following US 460 west to Blacksburg.

From the south

Take Interstate 81 north to exit 118B, following US 460 west to Blacksburg.

From West Virginia

Take Interstate 77 south (West Virginia Turnpike) to exit 9. Exit and turn left onto 460 east. Follow 460 east to Blacksburg.

Once in Blacksburg

Use the 460 bypass around the downtown area. Follow 460 bypass to Exit 6 Southgate Drive (Va. 314). Take the second exit at the first roundabout to stay on Southgate Drive. At the second roundabout, take the second exit to turn onto Duck Pond Drive and the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine will be on the left.

PARKING:  There is FREE on-site parking near the course. Please park in the "Cage" parking lot and use the only entrance to the course which is at the Cage lot. Do NOT park at the VET School (you may get towed/ticketed if parking at the VET school). 

Bus Parking: Busses will be able to drop off athletes at the Cage and utilize the Litton - Reaves parking lot during the race. This lot is close to the cage lot and large enough to accommodate busses. (901 Prices Fork Rd, Blacksburg, VA)

Smithfield Property: No teams, parents, runners, spectators should be on the Smithfield Property (this is a historic site near the entrance)

Nike/ECE Jackets: Top 5 times in the Maroon Race with receive Nike.ECE Jackets. 

T-Shirts: Places 6th-15th in Maroon High School, 1st-10th in Burnt Orange High School, and top 5 in Middle School divisions will receive East Coast Elite T-shirts. Top Athlete in the Open Race receives a T-Shirt. 

Team Awards: Top Three Teams win Team Awards for High School, and top Middle School Team wins the team trophy.
