2024 Commonwealth District XC Championship

WHEN:  Wednesday, October 30th, 2024 (rain date is the following day, Thursday 10/31)

WHERE:  Willowmere Park - Stafford, VA

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

  • 11:30 am: Course Opens
  • 12:15 pm: Coaches Meeting at Finish Line
  • 12:50pm: Girls Championship Senior Acknowledgements
  • 12:55pm: Final Strides and Stretching
  • 1:00 pm: Girls Championship Race
  • 1:35pm: Boys Championship Senior Acknowledgements
  • 1:40pm: Final Strides and Stretching
  • 1:45 pm: Boys Championship Race
  • 2:30 pm: Awards Ceremony
  • 2:50 pm:  Open Race Senior Acknowledgements
  • 2:55pm:  Final Strides and Stretching
  • 3:00 pm: Open Race (timed by Coaches)

FORMAT Each District Team will submit a roster via MileStat of 10 runners for each the Boys and the Girls Race. The Top 7 for each team (declared to the timer at the Coaches meeting the day of the race) will participate in the Championship race itself, and there are 3 alternates that can be substituted in at any time prior to the start of the race.

After the Awards Ceremony, an Open Race will occur for runners not in the Championship Race (this can include alternates that did not run in the Championship Race). Coaches will hand time this race, there will be no official times via the official timer, and the times will not be posted on MileStat in conjunction with this Championship Meet.

AWARDS:

1st Place Team for Boys and Girls will receive a Team Trophy

Medals for Top 15 Individual Boys and Girls Finishers (All-District)

Finish Line:  Colonial Forge and Massaponax

Trainers:  North Stafford and Colonial Forge

Jury of Appeals:  North Stafford AD will decide day of if/when issues arise

ADMISSION FEE$6 per person  -  CLICK HERE (available 1 week prior to District date) to purchase tickets (no day of Cash Purchases) - Senior Citizens (65 and older) or kids (8th grade and under) there is no charge
