State Meet Qualifying Standards

GROUP A BOYS AND GIRLS STATE TRACK MEET
RADFORD UNIVERSITY, RADFORD, VA - SATURDAY, June 5, 2010

MEET REGULATIONS AND INFORMATION

-No coaches or spectators will be allowed on the infield at any time !!

-The awards area will be on the outside of the track in the first floor hallway.

-The F.A.T. System and timing crew is off limits to all coaches. If there is a concern, go to the information tent and the proper official will be notified.

Note: This meet will be conducted on a 400 Meter Track. The RADFORD Track has 9 lanes for the straightaway and 8 lanes for all turn races.

Note: If less than 28 competitors are entered in any seeded race (110 high hurdles, 100 hurdles girls,
100 meter dash) 3 heats will be run. Three (3) runners from each heat qualify to finals. If there are more than 27 runners in an event, there will be 4 heats with 2 from each heat qualifying to the finals. All other races, except the 3200 M run will be run in sections on time. All events after break are FINAL EVENTS.

Entry Deadline: All schools should carefully check their entries and turn one copy into the regional meet director before leaving the meet - and keep one copy for their files. All entries must be on
entry sheets.

Important: Confirmation of Entries- Read Carefully!!- Any known scratches in any running events must be made to your Regional Director by noon, Tuesday, June 1. Running events scratches after this time will disqualify the participant from all running events. Only field events scratches will be permitted at the coaches meeting on Saturday, June 5.

Important: General Rules of Field Events- National Federation Track and Field Rule Book- This rule will be followed at State Championships. A contestant shall be charged with an unsuccessful attempt if the contestant does not initiate a trial that is carried to completion, or pass it within 1 minute after being called for a trial, unless excused by the event judge to participate in some other event .

Awards: Presentation of team trophies, 1st, 2nd and 3rd, at conclusion of the meet. Individual medals 1-8 will be presented to winners after each event at the awards tent as athletes are recognized. Coaches are responsible to see that winners (or the coach) get the athlete
