The Hogoheegee Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held on Wednesday, May 14th, 2025 at Patrick Henry High School in Glade Spring, Va.

Participants - Girls and Boys Outdoor Track and Field Teams from Patrick Henry, Rural Retreat, Chilhowie, Holston, Honaker,  and Northwood


Admission - $6.00


Entries will need to be entered on milestat. Go to milestat.com, click on calendar at the top of the page, and scroll down until you get to the Hogoheegee District Outdoor Track and Field Championships and enter your kids in their events.


Entry Limits - Each school may only enter 3 athletes per individual event unless they have met the District standard.  If you enter more than 3 athletes in an individual event, all of them must have achieved the district standard for that event to be able to put more than 3 in an event.  Only one relay team per relay event.

Entry Deadline - The deadline for getting your entries in will be Monday, May 12th, at noon.  The entries will close at that time  and you will no longer be able to enter your kids after the deadline

In Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, and Discus everyone will get three jumps or throws.  Then the top seven will advance to the finals for three more jumps or throws.  The top five in individual events and the top three in relay events will advance to the Region D Meet.  Plus, anyone that qualified for regionals by attaining a region qualifying time or distance in a meet consisting of at least 6 teams during the regular season.  You can also qualify if you attained a region qualifying mark in the district meet but did not place in the top five

4:15 - Coaches Meeting


4:30  - Girls and Boys Long Jump, Girls High Jump, Boys Shot Put, Girls Discus, and Girls Pole Vault followed by Girls and Boys Triple Jump, Boys High Jump, Girls Shot Put, Boys Discus, and Boys Pole  Vault

5:00 - Girls 4 x 800 relay

5:15 - Boys 4 x 800 relay


6:00 - Approximate time running events will start.  We are going to try and get field events completed before starting running events if we can.  Once running events start it will be a rolling schedule

Awards


Trainer - A certified athletic trainer will be on site


Timing - Timing will be FAT and will be done by Tim Johnson of Trojan Timing.  Results will be announced and  Live results will be on milestat and trojantiming.com


Finish Line - All coaches, athletes, and spectators are instructed to stay away from the finish line area. Anyone walking near the camera might cause it to not work correctly. Coaches can be in the grass on the football field but keep your distance from the camera. If you have a question about results please come to the scoring booth.


Race Results - The top 5 individuals in each event plus the top 3 relay teams will advance to the Region 1D Track meet.

Region 1D Track and Field Championships - The Region 1D Track and Field Championships will be held at The Food City Sports Complex (Track) at Emory and Henry on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026.  Entries will be done on milestat.
