Meet Information
This site is for a varsity meet (grades 9-12) including Fort Defiance, Waynesboro, Riverheads, and Buffalo Gap. Entries are due by Monday, September 22 at 10:00 p.m.
The girls varsity race will start at 5:00 p.m. The varsity boys will start at approximately 5:45 or as soon as possible following completion of the girls race.
The race will be held on the Fort Defiance Mt. Airy Course in Verona at Mill Place. Th course is an 'old-school' challenging 5K featuring mostly grass and about 1/4 mile of dirt/gravel. It is a 'spike friendly' course with a hill in every mile.
Directions to Mt. Airy (FDHS home course)
From the North: Take I-81 south to Exit 227 (Verona). Merge right onto Laurel HIll Road. Tavel approximately 8/10 mile and turn left onto Lee Hwy/US-11 South. Travel approximately 1.4 miles and turn left onto Technology Drive. Follow Technology Drive approximately 1/2 mile. Parking for spectators will be on the left near the Augusta Fire and Rescue Training Center.
From the South: Take I-81 North to Exit 225 (Woodrow Wilson Pkwy), turn left onto VA-262/Woodrow Wilson Pkwy. Travel approximately 1.5 miles, turn right at the light onto US-11 North. Travel approximately 1/2 mile and turn right at stoplight onto Technology Drive. Follow Technology Drive for approximately 1/2 mile. Parking will be on the left near the Augusta Fire and Rescue Training Center.

Please do Not park on the sides of the road. There is parking available in the grass areas next to the road. Bus drivers will continue past the course and turn left into a gravel lot for parking. Athletes and gear may be unloaded first along the road.
