Your cross country team is invited to the Augusta Invitational on August 29, 2026 on Wilson Memorial's home course at Woodrow Workforce and Rehabilitation Center.

This meet will serve as the Region 3C preview meet, as Wilson Memorial is hosting the VHSL Region 3C Championship in 2026.

We look forward to seeing your school on August 29. Here are the details:

Race Schedule (Please note the change from prior years.  Varsity (not the Developmental Race) will run before middle school races):

7:30 - Course Opens

8:00 a.m.  Elementary Race -  1 mile (approx)

8:30 a.m. Varsity Girls 5K race. (May enter up to 10 runners per team)

9:00 a.m. Varsity Boys 5K race. (May enter up to 10 runners per team)

9:30 a.m. Middle School-Girls-(grades 6-7-8) 2-mile race.  Unlimited entries

10:00 a.m. Middle School-Boys- (grades 6-7-8) 2-mile race. Unlimited entries

10:30 a.m. Developmental 5K (boys/girls together) 9-12 Unlimited entries

Middle school, varsity and developmental awards immediately following the conclusion of the development race.

Entry Fees:  

$150 per varsity team, or $285 combined boys and girls (this includes varsity race as well as developmental entries)

$150 per single gender middle school team, or $285 for combined boys and girls

There is no charge for elementary school entries.

All entries (including elementary runners) should be done online at Milestat.com.

Timing:  Blue Ridge Timing will be on site with chip timing and a live clock.

Course:

Varsity Boys-Girls-5,000 meters (Course is same as previous years)

Middle School - 2 mile course (Course is same as previous years)

Elementary - approx 1 mile course. The start and finish of all races will be in front of the old Augusta County School Board Office on WWRC Softball field. The terrain for all races is mostly grass and gravel.

Elementary:

Girls: Aryana Sarmadi, Wilson Elementary 6:54.1 (2025)

Parking:  Buses need to be parked in the old school board personnel parking lot or across from the Valley Vocational Tech School/Shenandoah Valley Regional Governor's School.

AdmissionsThere will be a spectator admission fee of $ 7.00.

There will be T-Shirts available for sale.

At this point we are running only one varsity division. If the meet gets larger then we will look at providing two divisions based on VHSL/VISSA classifications.

There are no divisions for middle schools.

Awards:

Medals will be awarded to the top 15 middle school runners in each gender as well as a team trophy for both the girls and boys team champion.

Medals will be awarded to the top 15 varsity school runners in each gender as well as a team trophy for both the girls and boys team champion.

Developmental will have medals for the top 10 boys and girls finishers.
