1st Annual Panther Cross Country Invitational Meet

VHSL sanctioned for Virginia and Maryland. Private schools only in Category I and II may enter our meet due to Maryland sanctioning. Check the VHSL Handbook to see if you are Category I or II Private School.

or call (757) 784-2281. Payment will secure entry into meet. Payment must be received before athletes will be allowed to compete.

Cost is $5.00 for athlete with maximum cost of $200.00 for complete

Varsity runners: grades 9-12. Maximum of seven runners per team in all varsity races.
JV runners: grades 8-10. Unlimited entries in JV races.
Teams may enter 1 Team in the Varsity A Race and an additional Varsity B Team in the B Race.
A Race is geared towards faster teams.
B Race is geared towards less advanced teams.

The 5000M course is located at New Quarter Park in Williamsburg, VA.
The course has grass, gravel, and dirt, small spikes can be worn.
Course is mainly flat with 1 uphill of 150m and one down hill of 150 meters.

Directions:
From Interstate 64: Take exit 242B (Yorktown Colonial Parkway Water Country USA) to Rt. 199.
Stay on Rt. 199 until the Colonial Parkway intersection. Enter Colonial Parkway towards Williamsburg (west). Exit the Colonial Parkway at the Queens Lake intersection. Turn right onto West Queens Drive for about 200 feet. Make an immediate left-hand turn onto Lakeshead Drive (the first street on the left) and follow this road until you reach the park entrance.
From Route 143: At the Rt. 143. Penniman Road traffic light (coming from Newport News), turn
right onto Penniman Road (Magruder Elementary School
is on the corner). Turn left onto Hubbard
Lane (the first street on your left). After you go under the overpass, make an immediate right-hand turn
onto Lakeshead Drive and follow this road until you reach the park entrance.
Time Schedule
Pick-up packets after 8:00 am at A Frame near
finish line. Follow signs to packet pick up area.
Varsity Boys A Race......8:45 am
Varsity Girls A Race.....9:15 am
Varsity Boys B Race....9:50 am
Varsity Girls B Race ...10:20am
JV Boys race.......10:55 am
JV Girls race.......11:30 am
Awards:
Plaques to the first two teams in all varsity races.
Medals given to top seven runners of first and second place teams. Medals given to the top 15 individuals in all races.
