ACC Track & Field Championship Day Two Feb 25, 2011

Senior Caroline King won heat three of the 800-meter qualifying round in 2:08.43 on Day Two of the ACC Track & Field Championships at the Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Va. The Scotia, N.Y. native will look to extend Boston College reign in the half-mile contest as the top-seeded athlete for the final scheduled to go off Saturday, Feb. 26 at 1:40 p.m.

The Boston College men's Distance Medley Relay turned in a time of 10:03.04 to score two points in front of a roaring crowd on Day Two of the ACC Track & Field Championship at the Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Va. Sophomore Louis Serafini ran a fast 1200-meter opening leg and successfully navigated a bottle-necked line at the first hand off to freshman Jack Hennessy, who zig-zagged past the exhausted 1200-meter group and kept BC in the hunt with a solid 50.23 quarter-mile split. The relay kicked into another gear as senior Ian Thomas turned out his 800-meter leg and sophomore Jordan Hamm was able to pick up two spots during the mile-anchor leg to finish in seventh place.
