Coleman Claims High Jump Title At Day 2 Of ACC Champs Feb 25, 2011

ACC Championship Results- Day 22011 ACC Indoor Championships ScheduleSenior Patience Coleman claimed her first ACC Indoor title in the women's high jump to lead the Tar Heels on Day 2 of the ACC Indoor Championships. Six other athletes and a relay scored points for UNC, and eight Tar Heels will be competing in finals on the third and final day of competition at Virginia Tech's Rector Field House.

ACC Track & Field Championship Day Two Feb 25, 2011

The Boston College men's Distance Medley Relay turned in a time of 10:03.04 to score two points in front of a roaring crowd on Day Two of the ACC Track & Field Championship at the Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Va. Sophomore Louis Serafini ran a fast 1200-meter opening leg and successfully navigated a bottle-necked line at the first hand off to freshman Jack Hennessy, who zig-zagged past the exhausted 1200-meter group and kept BC in the hunt with a solid 50.23 quarter-mile split. The relay kicked into another gear as senior Ian Thomas turned out his 800-meter leg and sophomore Jordan Hamm was able to pick up two spots during the mile-anchor leg to finish in seventh place.

Junior Anna Nosenko won the title in the 5,000m run and fell just shy of the NCAA automatic qualifying time in the event as the Deacons continued action on the second day of the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships inside Rector Field House.

ACC Track & Field Championship Day Two Feb 25, 2011

Senior Caroline King won heat three of the 800-meter qualifying round in 2:08.43 on Day Two of the ACC Track & Field Championships at the Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Va. The Scotia, N.Y. native will look to extend Boston College reign in the half-mile contest as the top-seeded athlete for the final scheduled to go off Saturday, Feb. 26 at 1:40 p.m.
