Northern Region Meet Summary

While the Northwest Region and Eastern Region postponed their regional championship meets to the next day, the competitive Northern Region Meet was still held under dire weather conditions because after all that is what cross country is all about. The Northern Region runners and teams rose to the occassion with some impressive performances at the Burke Lake 2.98 mile course. The Oakton girls and Thomas Jefferson boys maintained their dominance over the region heading into the state meet with regional title wins as did individual champions Melissa Dewey of Hayfield and Brad Siragusa of Chantilly.
