Meet Information
After two weeks of heavy rain the Norfolk Academy muddy and slow. Also about 75m have been added to the course due to the national federation change that the course is no longer measured from the center of the path but rather corner to corner.
In the varsity boys race Ian Granger and Grant Wiggins from Norfolk Academy went 1-2 but Currituck put five guys runners, led by Kevin Cosnahan, in front of the #3 NA runner and won the meet.
Princess Anne dominated the varsity girls race with Arial Briales, Mackenzie Cummings, and Marissa Kunsch going 1-2-3 and all breaking 21 minutes.
Thomas Amabile won the JV boys race and led St. Matthews in a close team battle against Collegiate. Collegiate put 4 in the top 10 though and edged them by 5 points.
In the JV girls race Norfolk Academy's Madeleine King and Broadwater's Meagan Phillips dueled the first 2.5 miles of the race until King broke away late in the race. They were the 5th and 6th fastest girl times of the day. The St. Matthew's girls won the race.
