Meet Information

For the first time all season the weather was perfect and the cross country course was dry and firm and it resulted in excellent times, which was perfect for Saint Christopher's and Saint Anne's who had travelled east to run a fast flat course.



Eddie Whitlock was out fast and cruised to a 16:04 victory in the varisty boys race leading Saint Christopher's to a hard fought victory over Currituck and Norfolk Academy. Saint Chris put their top 5 runners in the top 20. Norfolk Academy's duo of Ian Granger and Grant Wiggins both dipped under 16:30 for 2nd and 3rd, but Currituck put 4 runners in the top 15 edging them out for second place.



In the varsity girls race Madison Hunter led Saint Anne's-Belfield to a dominating victory. She ran away early in route to an 18:47 winning time. She was followed by Madison Strickland of Denbigh Baptist and Cristina Bertone(STAB) who both ran under 19:30. Walsingham finished second in the girls led by Christina McBeath.



Ocracoke made the trip from their battered island and won the JV boys race with their top runner Carlos Delao winning. Cape Henry was second in the JV Boys.



Norfolk Academy won the JV girls led by two 7th graders who blitzed varsity level times. Maddie King ran all alone and dipped under 20 minutes. Julia Lambert pushed past two Walsingham runners in the last mile to dip under 21 and give NA a narrow 2 point victory over Walsingham. Walsingham was lead by Jessica Link in 3rd.
