The early morning seeded 3200's first thing on Saturday have always been one of the featured and best races of the meet in past MileStat.com Elite Track Classic with many girls threatening to post sub 11's times and boys running in the 9:30's or faster. A total of 15 boys have broken 9:30 in the 3200 in meet history, while 7 girls have dipped under 11 minutes and 15 total under 11:10.
The entry deadline for the 2014 MileStat.com Elite Track Classic is fast approaching as coaches have until midnight on Monday, April 21st to register their team and finalize their meet entries. The sixth annual MileStat.com Elite Track Classic has grown into the largest two day high school outdoor track & field event in the state of Virginia.
As of Sunday, a total of 77 schools had entered the meet with over 1,500 athletes slated to compete. The meet has proven to create the atmosphere and competition needed for teams looking to achieve many of their automatic qualifier goals across the board on the district, regional, and state level coming off their spring breaks and finally warm weather for ideal racing conditions.
We are excited to announce that this year's event will be streamed live on MileStat.com! Those parents who cannot attend the meet or Virginia high school track & field followers in general that like to see what is happening as soon as it is happening will definitely enjoy. All the running events from start to finish on Friday and Saturday at Sports Backers Stadium will be shown live for MileSplit Insiders as well as shown after the meet archived on replay on the meet page. The meet's accepted entries/performance list and a revised estimated time schedule (meet operates on rolling schedule) will be posted by mid-day Tuesday, while a meet preview should be posted by Wednesday as well as more information on the meet's live feed.
