Crisp grass and windy conditions greeted competitors at the VHSL 1A, 2A, 3A races today.  Many fans, officials, and coaches sported winter layers and quite a few athletes raced in tights, compression sleeves, hats, and/or gloves. It was an exciting day of repeat champions on the individual and team sides.  There were 5 harriers toeing the line to defend their 2013 titles: Julia Wood and Cliff Conley of 1A, Brad Swiney of 2A, and Bonnie Angermeier and Andrew Hunter of 3A.  On the team side 1A Radford Girls and Galax Boys, 2A Maggie Walker Girls and Boys, and 3A US #1 Blacksburg  Girls and Lafayette Boys all hoped to make podium climbs.

 

 

This year the 2A started off the six races.
