Get Ready for Friday! Southern Track Classic Full Preview

Outside of those two huge events that are set to shut down the internet, we have some other big ones slated to happen as well. Let's take a look at these events chronologically.

Starting the meet off will be the sprint medley and 4x800m relays. The medleys look to be close races when the 800 legs get the baton and hopefully good races throughout. Leading the girls is Douglas Freeman and for the boys it is Kellam. The 4x800s could be a lot more interesting with a potential matchup between E.C. Glass and Lafayette on the girls side and a 5A showdown on the boys side between Manchester and North Stafford.

Next the hurdles will go on the track and feature some state champions going against each other. The girls race has Khoi Banks of Hampton leading and Jonniece Scott of Manchester right behind her and in lane 5. In the boys' race we get to see Grant Holloway (Grassfield) try and dip under 14 seconds for the first time and move himself up that all-time list. Grant ran a blazed 7.05 national record int he 55h this indoor season as a junior.
