The Jamestown boys did not face much competition at Saturday's Lee-Davis Invitational, but their team performance on a warm day at Pole Green Park would have been tough for any team in Virginia to seriously challenge. The #2 ranked team in Virginia had four of the top 5 finishers and nearly all under 17 minutes. Their top runner Andrew Colley (pictured left by Tom Hoerner), one of the favorites for the Group AA state titles, had a stellar race in his first meet back since suffering a season ending injury in the outdoor track season as he crushed the field with a 15:52 5K victory.

The Eagles bypassed their usual season opener at Chancellor and their first invite was cancelled with Tropical Storm Hanna forcing the Great Meadow Invite to be canned, so the team got a much later start to their cross country season at the Lee-Davis Invitational.
