Can Team VA or MD Stop a Tyrese Cooper (FL) Double?

While nearly all the eyes in the nation are on the stacked Girls 1K race or even the loaded 4x2's both at the VA Showcase, many have overlooked the Boys' 300m dash which could be the best race of them all and one of the best ever.

Headlining this race is 400m national champion and Florida state champion, Tyrese Cooper (American). He will be facing off with US #1 Eric Allen Jr. (Bullis) and US #1 returner Micaiah Harris (Western Branch).

This race will be the fastest 300m race of the season and could very well see the 33.05 national record fall. The race will no doubt get off to a very quick start but the real question is will Cooper's stamina outlast Harris' and Allen's speed or will speed take the title.

VOTE! Who Will Win The Boys' 300

It is a certainty that the 300 will be tough and feature the best in the nation and the same goes for the 55m dash. The field for the 55 includes five guys 6.40 or faster. Allen is seeded third at 6.38, Cooper is second at 6.32, and the top seed in the event is Eric Harrison Jr (St. John's College - DC) who enters with a 6.28.

With both fields being stacked, it is going to be a very tough double for anyone to pull it off. That begs the question, can anyone stop Cooper from pulling off the double? He may not be the top seed in the 55 but he certainly is the guy to beat in any sprint event this year. Both of these events are going to be some of the best races all year.
