South teams go on vacation during Spring Break and others just go to meets and continue the grind. South Lakes did both by traveling all the way out to sunny & warm Los Angeles California to compete in the prestigious Arcadia Invitational.
They were also joined by Karl Zuber (W.T. Woodson) who competed and finished a solid ninth in the decathlon over two days. Karl's score of 5979 was a big improvement for him and will advance him to nationals in this event again this year.
For South Lakes the biggest performance was their girls SMR team that finished a solid 6th place with a 4:06.84 finish time. That time ranks VA #1 this season by a whopping six seconds and also is US #19 so far this season. Check out their complete results below.
