One of the biggest things we are looking forward to this outdoor track season is the Team War, Nansemond River, 4x100m relay team. These ladies did not run a full squad last outdoor season but did run a very fast 4x200 this indoor season. So fast in fact that it was the US #3 all-time performance.
For years we have seen that Nansemond River focuses on building talent thru the indoor season and capitalizing on that talent at outdoor nationals. We did not see them do that last year but in 2016 they ran 45.08 to win the 4x100 national title.
That time is important because they ran nearly two seconds faster in the 4x200 this year compared to then. That means we could see a 44.3 national record from this team come outdoor nationals. Their biggest threats though will be Western Branch and defending champs Bullis.
Our prediction is that Team War will run 44.33 in the 4x100 this year.
