31 Chances For VA To Get A National Champ

Sprint Events

Virginia is known for its 400m runners and this year that is the case once again. In this event we have Britton Wilson and EJ Richardson representing Virginia with a serious shot at taking home the national title. Both will have their hands full, especially considering there are two rounds, with great competition.

Both athletes also won the Class 5 300/500 double and each has run at least one national class record.

Britton will have to contend with Kayla Davis (NC) and Kimberly Harris (GA) who are seen as the pre-race favorites. Wilson though leads the nation in the 300 and 500 and has only lost once this year when she was defeated by a Jamaican National Champion but still ran US #2 all-time in the 500.

EJ has also tallied up some major wins this season and being not 100% in January could mean he will peak this weekend up in NYC. Being a 500m athlete used to doubling will also help him as the rounds are not for everyone.
