Our VA #1 athlete and 2-time XC state champion, Berkley Nance was the sole qualifier from Virginia on the boys side for NXN. He finished in second at NXR-Southeast. His time of 14:45 is just off of his state leading time of 14:43.
Though he was the only qualifier from VA on the boys side, he did have some company from VA athletes on the impressive times front.
Finishing in 13th overall was Class 5 state champion Tarek Benlamkaddem (Broad Run) in 15:06. Finishing in 14th overall was Chantilly's Tristan Thurneysen in 15:07. Nayan Kasperowski, Rives Boltwood, Hayden Goodman, and James Cicero all also finished in under 15:30.
The Charlottesville boys were VA's highest finishing team with their 11th place finish.
