Indoor Track & Field End of Season Awards

Coach of The Year

Winning this year's coach of the year honor is Chris Pellegrini, the head coach for West Springfield high school. He wins this award after his spartans won the Class 6 state team title.

They won the team title with eight individual scorers and three scoring relay teams. It was a total team effort.

Though Coach Pellegrini has won numerous state titles and had many state champions, this one may be the most impressive of them all. The details that went into executing this victory can be attributed to his direct coaching, his hiring of excellent assistant coaches, and his experience in these situations both pre-meet and during the meet.

Each year this award goes to the coach who did the best job coaching no matter if they were the head coach or an assistant coach. Once a coach wins this award they are ineligible to win it again or in a different season. Below you can see some of the names he is joining.
