Virtual meet preview for the Colonial District Indoor Championships predicts team titles for the Douglas Freeman boys and Maggie Walker girls. Douglas Freeman senior Silas Frantz (pictured above by Andrew Kicinski) had a late start to his indoor season after giving himself a break of racing following qualifying for and competing in the Foot Locker Nationals in early December to end his cross country season. Despite only competing in two meets this indoor season, Frantz took full advantage of those two racing opportunities to take care of state qualifiers in the 1600 (4:22) and 3200 (9:21), while posting a solid personal best time of 2:36 in a rare 1000 meter race for the long-distance geared Frantz.
